My Carat was born from a personal “aha moment” — when Abhishek got his first gold and diamond pendant made directly from an artisan. The result was breathtaking: more beautiful, more flawless, and more brilliantly crafted than anything available in a conventional jewellery store — at a fraction of the price.
That single pendant changed everything. It revealed what was possible when the middlemen were removed and the craftsmen were trusted directly.
My Carat was founded in 2025 with one mission: make certified, artisan-crafted diamond jewellery accessible to every Indian buyer — with full transparency on pricing, quality, and process.

That first pendant sparked a discovery journey that took Abhishek across the length and breadth of India’s jewellery heartland — cities where diamonds are cut, gold is worked, and gems are sourced.
What followed was hundreds of hours of research — in YouTube rabbit holes, on factory floors of jewellery SMEs, and in conversations with gemologists, artisans, and diamond traders.
The conclusion was clear: India’s craftsmen are world-class. The only thing standing between a buyer and a beautiful certified diamond was the traditional retail chain. My Carat removes that barrier entirely.
