Why we started

Shopping for fine jewellery in India always felt stuck in the past. Opaque pricing. Limited options. Walking through ten or fifteen stores to find something close to the design in our head. You couldn't see a natural diamond and a lab-grown diamond side by side in the same place. You couldn't customise the cut, the setting, or the purity. You were expected to pick from what was on the counter, and trust that the price was fair.

When we looked more closely at India's jewellery supply chain, we found something surprising: the talent is already here. Our cutters, setters, and gemologists are among the best in the world — they just build for everyone else. We wanted to build a brand that brought that talent directly to the customer, without the layers of retail markup, without the fine print, without the limits.

"MyCarat" means the carat is yours. Every gramme of gold, every point of diamond, every decision that goes into your piece is yours to make.

MyCarat began a year ago as an offline boutique. We're online now, shipping pan-India, with our Lifetime Exchange and Buyback programme supporting every piece we ever make. International shipping and ready-to-ship collections are coming soon.
